Position Type: Full Time, 40 hours/week, Exempt, Hybrid (on-site/remote)
Schedule: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday, flexibility based on business needs

In this role, you will lead a cohesive group of marketers responsible for delivering top-quality marketing and communications strategies that support Salem Health’s mission, strategic objectives, growth goals, and reputation. You will oversee marketing planning, branding, public relations, advertising, digital initiatives, and measurement of campaign effectiveness, ensuring all efforts are aligned with organizational priorities. You will strategize and manage projects for diverse service lines such as cardiology, orthopedics, cancer care, bariatrics, and surgery, while guiding a team of direct reports to deliver impactful results. What you'll do

Plan & Execute Marketing Strategies:

  • Develop and oversee comprehensive marketing and communication plans that align with organizational goals and brand strategy.
  • Incorporate digital, print, advertising, PR, direct marketing, and social media into cohesive campaigns.

Lead & Inspire a Talented Team:

  • Provide direct leadership to eight professionals, ensuring work aligns with priorities and is completed on time and within budget.
  • Mentor, coach, and support career growth.

Collaborate Across the Organization:

  • Partner with service line leaders to understand their goals and translate them into effective marketing strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Measure & Improve:

  • Track the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, using data to make informed recommendations.
  • Adjust strategies and tactics to ensure the highest ROI.

Ensure Brand Excellence:

  • Maintain consistency across all messaging and creative assets.
  • Uphold Salem Health’s brand promise and visual identity guidelines.

Stay Ahead of the Curve:

 

  • Monitor competitive activity and marketing trends.
  • Serve as a Public Information Officer (PIO) for incident command on rotation.

 

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with preference given to degrees in marketing, public relations, communications, and advertising. 
  • Five years of experience in marketing or public relations, with healthcare-related experience preferred. 
  • Two years of people management experience.
