    Salary Information: 
    We are currently in negotiations for the 2025–26 Licensed contract, which is expected to result in a salary increase. For reference, the current 2024–25 salary schedule (Row AA) offers a stipend ranging from $2,936 to $3,840, depending on prior, verifiable paid coaching experience in football at the same or higher level.

     


    About the Role:
    Stayton Middle School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Head Football Coach for our 7th-grade team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about coaching and mentoring middle school athletes. The ideal candidate is flexible, dependable, and ready to lead a program that builds both skill and character.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Lead and manage a positive, student-centered football program
    • Assists with the organization of daily practices and attend competitions, including travel as needed
    • Teach fundamentals of the sport while encouraging sportsmanship and teamwork
    • Develops leadership skills, positive self-image, and pride in athletes
    • Uphold and model the athletic philosophy of Stayton Middle School concerning attitude, discipline, rules and academic standards
    • Build strong relationships with athletes, families, school staff, and the community

     Qualifications:
    • Able to obtain Concussion and Steroid Training Certification; First Aid/CPR & Epi-Pen/Medical Training
    • Previous coaching experience in football or other sports preferred
    • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
    • Dependable attendance and a commitment to ethical coaching practices
