    POSITION TYPE: Coaching
    START DATE: 2025-26 school year
    SALARY:  We are beginning Licensed bargaining for the 2025-26 school year, which will result in an increase in salaries.  Pay for the (current) 2024-25 school year ranges from $4,291 - 5,195 for the season, depending on prior paid coaching in this sport, at this level.

    Position Summary:

    We seek a dedicated Assistant Coach to support the development of a successful athletic program for grades 9-12. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of coaching student-athletes, demonstrate a commitment to building community relationships, and maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate practices, contests, and travel.

     

    Responsibilities:

     
    • Assist the Head Coach in directing and overseeing the program's development
    • Organize practices and instruct athletes in fundamental skills
    • Develop athletes' leadership skills, positive self-image, and team pride
    • Implement the school's athletic philosophy regarding attitude, discipline, rules, and academic standards
    • Foster positive relationships with parents, teaching staff, coaches, and the community
    • Assist in all aspects of the program, including varsity support, off-season development, and summer league participation
     

    Qualifications:

     
    • Knowledge of coaching student-athletes and building community relationships
    • Flexible schedule to accommodate daily practices, contests, and travel
    • Completion of OSAA-required certifications and training:
      • NFHS certification
      • Concussion and Steroid Training certification
      • Interrupting and Preventing Discrimination certification
      • First Aid/CPR
      • Epi-Pen/Medical Training
    • Experience or expertise in other coaching areas
    • Strong leadership and communication skills
    • Regular attendance and punctuality
    • Maintains a high level of ethical behavior
     

    Compensation:

     
    • We are beginning bargaining for the 2025-26 school year, which will result in an increase in salaries.  For the 2024-25 school year, pay ranges from $4,291 - $5,195, based on prior paid coaching experience in this sport at this level.
