Event Description:
Concordia University Portland's Handbell and String Ensembles will be playing at Calvary Lutheran Church on Saturday, April 6th at 7:00pm. Invite your friends to enjoy a night of music. The ensembles will also be playing at the 9:30am worship service on Sunday April 7th. The Concordia Concert Handbell Ensemble have a tradition of over 25 years at Concordia University. With a focus on education and meaningful spiritual experiences, the ensembles offer a unique opportunity for beginners and advanced ringers to acquire technical excellence in ringing skills while learning and performing a challenging repertoire. The small String Ensemble prepares and presents a traditional repertoire which includes a wide variety of music written for string chamber ensembles. Under the direction of Casey Bozell, they are a featured ensemble in several university concerts, chapel services and various presentation venues in the community.
