Salary Information:
Pay (Row CC) for the 2025-26 school year ranges from $1,900 - 2,850 for the season. Placement is dependent on verifiable, prior paid coaching experience in football at the same or higher level.

About the Role:
Stayton Middle School seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Football Coach for our 8th-grade team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting youth athletics and contributing to a positive team culture. The ideal candidate is dependable, collaborative, and eager to help student-athletes develop their skills and sportsmanship under the direction of the head coach.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with the direction and oversight of the development of a successful Program
- Assist with the organization of practices and instruction of athletes in the fundamentals of sport
- Assist in the development of leadership skills, positive self-image, and pride in athletes
- Assist with the implementation of athletic philosophy concerning attitude, discipline, rules, and academic standards
- Foster good working relationships with parents, teaching staff, other coaches, and the community
Qualifications:
Applicants must be able to assist in facilitating matches in the main gym and auxiliary gym, and work Saturdays.- Hold Concussion and Steroid Training Certification; First Aid/CPR & Epi-Pen/Medical Training
- Experience or expertise in other coaching areas
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Maintain a high level of ethical behavior
