DESCRIPTION:Come learn and celebrate Czech holiday crafts and culture at the Scio Czech Holiday Cultural Weekend\, November 15th & 16th\, hosted by the Scio Historical Society! This is a free event thanks to the Linn County Cultural Coalition! Pre-registration is strongly recommended due to limited space.\n\n\n\nFriday\, November 15th learn about Czech and Slovakian Christmas traditions at the Christmas in the Czech Republic & Slovakia presentation. Czech Christmas cookies will be avaliable for purchase Friday evening.\n\n\n\nSaturday\, November 16th learn Czech holiday arts and crafts and bring home new ornamnets to decorate your home with this holiday season. Classes include egg art\, paper crafts\, wheat weaving\, and ornament making with Czech glass beads. A Czech lunch\, Kolaches and Christmas Cookies will be available for purchase on Saturday\, you do not need to be attending a class to purchase a meal or baked goods.\n\n\n\nAttendance of all Saturday classes is not required\, you may choose which class(es) interest you. Classes are designed for adults and youth ages 12+
