Volunteer: Parks & Recreation Board (2 vacancies)
Job Description
Have you ever considered volunteering time in your community? We are looking for civic-minded volunteers to fill vacancies on the following Boards and Commissions:
• Budget Committee: Meets annually to review the proposed fiscal year budget. Typically, meetings occur in May, with a total of three to four meetings. The Committee is comprised of the Mayor and City Council, plus six community members. (3 vacancies)
• Parks and Recreation Board: Meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. The Board is responsible for developing and maintaining parks as well as recreation programs and serves as an advisory board to the City Council. (2 vacancies)
• Planning Commission: Meets monthly on the last Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. The Commission is responsible for reviewing development proposals and making recommendations to the City Council regarding City policies on growth and development. (1 vacancy)
