Description/Qualifications:
Eligible for excellent hiring incentives, including a Start Bonus and Relocation Assistance (for hires relocating from greater than 100 miles). To qualify for the bonus candidates must not have been employed by Salem Health in the last 6 months. Bonuses are available to external applicants only and are subject to all applicable tax withholding.
 

Your Role With Us:
As a vascular sonographer you will provide direct and indirect care to patients undergoing procedures in the Cardiovascular Non-Invasive Services department, and throughout the hospital. We are fully portable for patient convenience. Be prepared to work within a fast paced environment. Our team succeeds due to our excellent customer services, professionalism, communication and flexibility.
 

Responsibilities include, performance of carotid, arterial, and venous vascular ultrasound procedures. You need to be able to perform abdominal and transcranial Doppler procedures or be able to perform within 6 months of moving into this position.
 

Salem Health Vascular Offers a Full Line of Vascular Imagining Services, including:
  • Venous Imaging
  • Arterial Evaluations
  • Abdominal Imaging
  • Cerebrovascular Evaluations
 

Core Functions:
  • Provides direct and indirect care to patients undergoing procedures in the Cardiovascular Non-Invasive Services Department and other areas in the hospital.
  • Prioritizes and coordinates patient care and/or services with team members.
  • Participates in the assessment and development of department and hospital related projects.
Background/Expertise:
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Graduate from an accredited school of noninvasive cardiovascular technology/ultrasound OR three years recent experience and at least 800 vascular procedures performed.
  • Recent experience as a Vascular Sonographer in a hospital based, cardiovascular non-invasive services department preferred.
  • BLS credentials through the American Heart Association.
  • RVT or RVS certification OR eligible for RVT or RVS certification and completion within six (6) months of hire.
  • Oregon Practice of Sonography license (OBMI) required.
  • Evening and weekend call is mandatory.
