Description/Qualifications:
Eligible for excellent hiring incentives, including a Start Bonus and Relocation Assistance (for hires relocating from greater than 100 miles). To qualify for the bonus candidates must not have been employed by Salem Health in the last 6 months. Bonuses are available to external applicants only and are subject to all applicable tax withholding.
 

Your Role With Us:
Your positive attitude and a commitment to meeting the needs of the patient population will assist in creating a safe environment for our patients by maintaining constant observation and effectively relaying information to the nursing care team.
 

Core Functions:
  • Assigned to patient’s room to maintain constant visual observation of the patient. Ensure the patient is never alone or out of sight.
  • Observant of the patient’s activity and behavior and communicates on regular basis to the nurse. Receives direction from the nurse re: what to report, to whom and how.
  • Keep patient environment safe, clean and in orderly manner.
Background/Expertise:
  • Have a high school diploma or GED Equivalent preferred.
  • Recent experience in health care setting preferred.
  • Have strong customer service, organizational, technical and communication skills.
  • Staff Against Violence Everywhere (SAVE) training required within six months of hire.
