Position: HR Generalist
Salary: $52,000

NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB
This position assists management in maintaining compliance with Oregon employment laws.
The HR Generalist is responsible for upholding and demonstrating the core values of the company and mission to our families. This position conducts the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including enforcing company policies and procedures that are aligned with state and federal laws and rules,
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree (Preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of HR Administrative experience
- Demonstrates experience applying laws, rules and policies when evaluating information.
- Ability to hold the confidence of upper management with respect to planning and discipline as well as growth and change within the company.
- Must be able to work independently and with a team.
- Strong accuracy performing professional level grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Proficient in Excel, Outlook, Word, Google documents and Microsoft.
- Ability to field inquiries in person, via phone or email while maintaining HIPPA compliance.

JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Coordinate upcoming new hires scheduled to onboard.
- Conduct background checks using state ORCHARDS system.
- Prepare onboarding documents for new hires.
- Manage and maintain all employee documents and files.
- Monitor worker’s compensation claims requests, submissions, and inquiries.
- Provide employment verification upon request.
- FMLA/OFLA eligibility and tracking.
- Process inactivation requests and update tracker.
- Prepare employment separation letters for resignations and terminations.
- Facilitate coaching conversations with DSP Advisors
- Develop Performance Improvement Plans.
- Conduct employment determination notices for onboarding and offboarding
